Style Across the Aisle (SATA) will return on September 9, 2026, taking over the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center for an evening of fashion and civic unity — with Google signing on as presenting partner. This year's edition also marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11, honored in the spirit of unity that brought New York together.
Now one of New York Fashion Week's most talked-about shows, SATA puts elected and appointed officials from across the political spectrum on the runway in looks curated by designers from their own districts and boroughs. Governor David A. Paterson is among the past models who have walked the SATA runway, alongside City Council Speaker Julie Menin, Assemblymembers Jordan Wright, Al Taylor and Rebecca Seawright, Councilmembers Nantasha Williams, David Carr, Inna Vernikov and Gale Brewer, and former Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The move to the Met follows earlier editions at Gracie Mansion and the New York County Surrogate's Court. Proceeds benefit the Style Across the Aisle Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports civic dialogue, emerging design talent, and small businesses. Past collections have come from independent designers and brands including Batsheva, Andy Yu, Gina Bespoke, KZ Karolina Zmarlak, and Soara.
A first wave of officials for the September 9 lineup includes Congressman Tom Suozzi, Comptroller Mark Levine, and Speaker Julie Menin, with more to be announced.

As presenting partner, Google will add interactive elements to the evening showing how digital tools, AI, and accessible technology help independent designers grow their businesses. “Fashion, like technology, is at its best when it serves as a bridge between different perspectives,” said Reggie Thomas, Head of Government Affairs, Google New York. Metropolitan Opera General Manager Peter Gelb said the house is “honored to host” the event.
The evening begins with a red-carpet arrival at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, followed by the runway presentation and a cocktail reception. Ticket details, additional designers, and the full model lineup will be released in the coming weeks at styleacrosstheaisle.com.
